When you are looking to rent a dumpster for your garage cleanout or a remodeling job, many of us think we can just throw anything away in a dumpster or roll-off container. As Kevin and I have learned about this business, we have discovered there are some general rules in what can go in the containers and this is simply based on what we are allowed to dump. When we take the dump trailer or roll-off container to the dump or recycling center, we have to separate the items mentioned below. Items that are burnable such as furniture, mattresses, plastics and garbage can be dumped all at once at the dump to be burned. Yard waste and debris is not allowed to be dumped with those items and must be separated as they are mulched and reused by the dump or recycle centers. Metal items are not accepted by most county dump facilities, therefore we must take those items to a recycling center. Cement or tile are recycled and can not be dumped with other items as they are recycled. Dirt must be dumped in a separate location. Tires and paint cans, fire extinguishers, batteries, etc...are taken to a separate areas as well as they are considered toxic. This is why we ask what you will be dumping and request you separate these items so we do not have to crawl through the trailer or container to remove items that can not be dumped together. It save us a lot of back aches and we thank you! Dumpster Kings will take almost anything except fluids of any kind or toxic items. We prefer not to take tires and paint cans, however if you have just a few of those items, we will do our best to accommodate you.
